So Week #6 of Stuff Christians Say is a little tricky... "I Am With You In Spirit" is something we say when we cannot be physically present, and want to make sure that we are still showing encouragement to someone or a group of people. It can be a meaningful thing to say at a time of need (it's not particularly inappropriate or offensive). However, it leaves something to be desired, doesn't it? Most of the time--if we had a choice--we'd rather have the person walk beside us through the difficulty. The Apostle Paul inked this phrase -- and God has something much more amazing to tell us...
