Name Calling

(Chad Brekke) Kids know to protect themselves from being labeled by others. “I know you are but what am I” is a time-worn defensive line. Or, “sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me” is another. The truth is, certain names and labels can and do cause pain, which is why we become defensive. Being named by Jesus, on the other hand, can bring life and adventure. Today Jesus wants to call you something in front of everyone.
